ASSOS delivered to the world the leading race-proven 3L waterproof rain jacket - so the pressure was on when an update was due.

Firmly believing in the mantra 'don't mess with what doesn't need to be fixed', it has kept the same stretchy, yet waterproof, shell fabric - especially as so many riders were impressed with the way the jacket fitted over ASSOS' already popular aerodynamic race jersey.

It simply added a few extra features which make it perform better, and protect you more, while on the road. 

It retains the same racingFit and Schloss Tex of the original. With its sandwiched hydrophilic membrane and flexible, breathable composition, Schloss is engineered to keep you both dry and warm. Even better, this jacket weighs a mere 170g, so will stow unobtrusively in your back pocket.

The jacket borrows numerous cues from the standard-setting ASSOS sturmPrinz, such as the taped wrists and neck to minimise friction, and the appreciated pocket slots that let you reach in to your jersey pockets beneath.

The double-slider zipper has also been enhanced with a more robust, glove-friendly version, which gives you the option to ventilate from the top or bottom. Other updates include a new waterBlock hem, which sheds water and provides a stay-put fit, along with a bold reflective logo on the rear panel’s Reflex strip.

GARMENT FEATURES  

Schloss Tex: Our lightest 3L waterproof softshell. Stretchy, extremely comfortable, and highly packable material that incorporates a hydrophilic membrane. Weight: 90g/m2; Breathability: MVP 27,000g/m2/24h; Water Column: >10,000mm; Elasticity: 2-way stretch.

Reflex: Reflective strip on the rear of the jacket boosts visibility in low-light and extreme weather conditions.

Pocket Slots: Two openings on the lower rear panel give you access to your jersey or jacket pockets, and serve as ventilation slots.

Taped Seams: Found along the front, shoulders, rear panels, and zipper, these increase the watertight properties of the jacket.

Extended Rear Panel: A drop-tail protects your lower back from road spray and dirt.

waterBlock Hem: Silicon dots on the inside lock out the elements and provide a secure fit, while the laminated silicon exterior sheds water.

Double-Slider Zipper: Ventilate from the top or bottom with ease. Robust construction with oversized pull tabs for intuitive, glove-friendly operation.

DWR: Treated with our Durable Water Repellent treatment to add one more level of insurance against the elements.

racingFit: A fit that is tighter and slightly more compressive than ASSOS' regularFit and comfortFit options. While you may feel restricted out of the riding position, it comes into its own and feels like a second skin while riding, resulting in improved comfort and less drag.
