The UMA GT Women’s Half Shorts set a new standard in on-the-bike comfort in a female-specific design.

Blending several proven textiles and construction techniques, they create a truly unique pair of shorts built to be as fast as they are comfortable. Like the company's high-end Laalalai Shorts, they’re cut from Type.439 Diadema, a fabric chosen for its exceptional stretch, high moisture-wicking properties, and compressive capabilities.

Wind-tunnel tested and using our aerodynamic Fenomeno1 design, ASSOS is convinced these are among its fastest women’s cycling shorts yet.

A special waistband design is at the heart of the shorts' precise fit. Breathable, ultra-soft Aerofit material is used at the front, using a fold-over construction that comfortably holds the shorts in place across your abdominals. Then on the lower legs, a secure, stay-put fit was used, which results in an asymmetrical hold on the thighs. These shorts are 2.5cm shorter than the Laalalai versiom.

And finally, they feature an insert made of the lightweight, breathable S7 EVO to deliver targeted support and all-day comfort.

FABRIC TECHNOLOGIES  

Type.439 Diadema: A textile created with ASSOS' fabric suppliers to meet its demands for performance, comfort, and durability, with built-in iceColor and odorControl. Uniquely for the industry, the weave has two different rates of four-way stretch, requiring great expertise to maximise the elasticity of the fabric on the cutting table.

Aerofit: An ultra-soft warp-knit applied to the waist and legs, woven with an open structure for maximum ventilation and featuring high elasticity plus built-in odorControl.

UMA S7 EVO: The UMA elastic interface insert, evolved. New black colorway, and our proven 8mm of memory foam, this female-specific insert is nestled at the intersection between comfort and performance.

3D waffle: A patented, three-layer perforated foam that increases breathability and eliminates excess weight.

goldenGate: A patented technology that interrupts the stitching along both of the insert’s side panels, allowing a more three-dimensional freedom of movement in this sensitive, rotational area.

2L Waist: Fold-over front panel design creates a smooth, pressure-free transition between the body and fabric.

2L Tapered Legs: Fold-over design in our Aerofit textile creates a smooth, asymmetrical hold on the thighs to keep the shorts securely in place.

Reflective Accents: Small high-visibility strips are placed on the backs of the legs for added visibility.

regularFit: Optimised for total comfort in the riding position, with a more relaxed cut than our second-skin racingFit.

Composition: 80% Polyamide, 20% Elastane
