Orca - TRN Core Women's Openwater Wetsuit

Great suit for taking your first steps onto the open water

The Openwater TRN Core is the perfect wetsuit for you if you're just starting out in open water.

This suit features is highly flexible and has plenty of neutral buoyancy. The high flexibility in the shoulders makes your first workouts in open water wonderfully comfortable, while the buoyancy will keep you feeling secure.

GARMENT HIGHLIGHTS

Flexibility: For more flexibility in all phases of the swim stroke, Yamamoto 39 neoprene is used together with a 2mm Infinityskin high-end lining. This material has high elasticity and is used in different areas of many mid-range wetsuits. The material can stretch under 35 to 45 per cent less force than conventional neoprene.
Thermal insulation and buoyancy: The same Yamamoto 39 technology is also in the torso to help you stay warm during workouts. Its 3mm thickness gives you 77% more protection than if you weren't wearing a wetsuit. This material also gives the TRN an ideal neutral buoyancy level which helps you feel safer on the water.
Zero Chafing: The lining in the neck area reduces friction and the likelihood of chafing. The material feels soft and is more comfortable for use next to your skin.

XS is perfect for 5ft tall

Posted by Crystal Pay on 6th May 2021

I signed up for my first open water swimming event and needed an affordable wetsuit. This Orca Open Water TRN 2021 suit is perfect. I’ve not used to swim in it yet but the fit is perfect. I’m 83cm round the chest, 5ft tall and weigh 8.5 stone. I was sceptical, thinking I would fit the small better but the XS was the right choice. I was surprised how easy it was to also get the suit on, I was expecting to be pulling it on for 30 minutes but only took me about 5 mins. Only thing I would say if you’re a first time user.. watch the Velcro on the neck when taking it off, it caught on the shoulder of the suit and it’s bobbled the external material a bit. Rookie error on my part!
