The Product:

2XU's Lock Compression Calf Guards are designed to fit both men and women, and are engineered to contain the calf muscles when training and competing. The graduated compressive fit increases blood flow and contains your calf muscles to help increase your performance and reduce the time it takes for you to recover.

Muscle fatigue is prevented by reducing the amount of muscle oscillation occurring in the calf, as the material absorbs the shocks that would otherwise be absorbed by your muscles. This helps to reduce muscle soreness and the risk of injuries caused by overuse, such as shin splints. The highest power denier material provides targeted support to the calf and shins to enhance your performance.

The guards are thin enough to be worn underneath your preferred socks and can also be used under a wetsuit so you don't have to worry about putting them on as you transition between the swim and run.
