Orca - Predator Women's Wetsuit
Orca's most advanced wetsuit yet, drawing on its 25 years of triathlon racing innovation
The new Predator is ideal for swimmers who are seeking the perfect balance between buoyancy and flexibility. Designed for the Total Swimmer, the Women's Orca Predator Wetsuit achieves the highest possible efficiency by targeting its buoyancy aid in your legs and giving you more flexibility in your upper body.
It lifts your hips to correctly position your entire body, reducing hydrodynamic resistance as much as possible, so you get the full benefit from the most advanced technology to boost your performance.
SUIT FEATURES
0.88 FREE: 0.88 Free technology was developed with Yamamoto exclusively for Orca, with the goal of creating the most elastic material on the market. The finest neoprene on the market is 0.5mm thick, and combines the best lining with a titanium coating for better thermal insulation. This revolutionary material is fitted in the arms of the suit, providing needed compression to your arm muscles as well as maximum flexibility for bending your elbow with each swim stroke. This step forward in technology is solely intended to boost your performance.
EXO-LIFT: Exo-Lift is a sandwich-type construction which combines a neoprene layer, Aerodome technology and a third internal layer of neoprene which is treated specifically to make the Predator even more durable, achieving maximum buoyancy and 0% water absorption. So you get a little boost to help you maintain a hydrodynamic position at all times, even when you're tired.
AERODOME: This new technology, applied to the lower body, gives makes you up to 30% more buoyant. The secret is in its construction: hundreds of pockets are located between two layers of pre-treated neoprene. Unlike Exo-lift, the inner layer of this material is composed of a high-quality lining that gives the neoprene more elasticity. Orca utilizes this material in specific areas, depending on the needs of the swimmer, in order to facilitate proper rotation.
CORE LATERAL STABILIZER (CLS): CLS is a panel that provides lateral rigidity to the abdomen to strengthen your core and prevent twisting. This technology helps you to maintain an effective technique for longer, thanks to its 5-mm thick side panels.
YAMAMOTO 44: This material, exclusive to Orca, is Yamamoto's most elastic neoprene with a thickness of 1.5mm. This flexible material allows for a smaller zipper to be used than on the rest of the wetsuits on the market. This smaller closure reduces restriction on your movement and improves the product's water-tight properties. The new Predator incorporates Yamamoto 44 technology in the shoulders for a perfect fit with maximum freedom of movement in the shoulders.
ZERO CHAFING: The new Predator features Velcro on the wetsuit's outer zipper flap which, combined with the laser cutting used in the neck seam, reduces friction and prevents chafing.
SPEED: The lower leg panels are made with Yamamoto 40-cell SCS Nano coating, to reduce friction while swimming. HydroLite panels also make wetsuit easier to remove, so that your transitions can be even faster.
THE TECHNOLOGIES
-
YAMAMOTO
The Yamamoto Corporation is the world’s main supplier of high-performance neoprene. Its seal represents quality, technology and innovation.
-
0.88 FREE
0.88 Free technology has been developed together with Yamamoto exclusively for Orca, with the aim of producing the most elastic material available today. The construction of five layers of neoprene, combined with a warm, reflective titanium skin, is the secret to achieving the great thermal insulation of this lightweight material. The thinnest wetsuit on the market at only 0.5 mm thick, it combines the best lining with a layer of titanium to provide better thermal insulation. This revolutionary

CORE LATERAL STABILISER (CLS) WITH EXO-CELL
CLS is a panel made from Exo-cell that provides lateral rigidity on the abdomen to strengthen your core and thus prevent twisting. This technology helps you maintain an effective technique for longer, raising your lower trunk for better performance, thanks to its 5mm-thick Exo-cell side panels that provide 25% more buoyancy than the Aerodome.
-
44 CELL
This material, exclusively from Orca, is Yamamoto’s most elastic version of wetsuits, with a thickness of 1.5mm. The use of this flexible element makes it possible to use a smaller zip than is found on the rest of the wetsuits in the market. A smaller zip is less restrictive and improves the impermeability of your gear.
-
HYDROLITE
The HydroLite panels help the wetsuit come off easier, for faster transitions. This technology, combined with the SCS coating, helps the water slide off your wetsuit, without permeating it, considerably improving your hydrodynamics.
-
NANO ICE
This innovative technology, exclusively from Orca, provides a low friction coefficient and ensures optimal hydrodynamics.
-
INFINITY SKIN
The inner Infinity Skin lining provides the feeling of absolute freedom. Designed based on a high-elasticity nylon that incorporates bamboo fibres, this technology is applied to the lining of Orca's wetsuits to offer you greater flexibility with each stroke. This cloth retains body heat longer, and reduces body odour and the appearance of bacteria in your wetsuit. It is also made from natural, eco-friendly materials to prevent the appearance of skin irritation and care for the environment.
-
AERODOME 2
This new technology applied to the lower trunk area provides 30% greater buoyancy in the water. The secret lies in its composition: hundreds of cavities located between two layers of pre-treated neoprene. Unlike the Exo-lift, the inner layer of this material is made up of a high-quality lining that gives the wetsuit greater elasticity. Orca uses this material in the areas with the greatest body weight to raise you up to an optimal position in the water.
