The Assos TACTICA Bib Shorts T5 are purpose built for off-road adventures, combining the premium performance that Assos of Switzerland is known for - the durability and functionality required for unpredictable terrain. Evolved from the GTC Kiespanzer , this new generation is lighter, more breathable and more compressive. This is definitely a pair of bib shorts that you don't want to ignore if you are looking to have adventures that strain from the roads.

Crafted with high-performance Type.911 textiles, these Assos bibs deliver stabilising compression, rapid drying and abrasion resistance. The innovative rollBar suspension system - borrowed from Assos' WorldTour racing shorts - locks the inserts in place for consistent support when climbing or spiriting. For maximum utility, the TACTICA T5 introduces expanded thigh pockets with triple-ramp security, keeping essentials stable and within reach so thjat you get to stay focused on the trail.  

At the core, the new TACTICA insert features an 11mm shock-absorption damping designed specifically for off-road conditions, smoothing trail chatter and reducing fatigue over long rides. Paired with goldenGate 2.0 construction and a 3D Waffle perforated foam layer, the result is unmatched comfort and breathability. 

ENGINEERING

rollBar:
A patented bracing design adapted from the Racing Series. Stabilizes the insert and locks it in place as your weight transfers while sprinting, climbing, and cornering.


zeroPressure Waist:
A soft, highly elastic waist construction that improves comfort and hold at the waist, minus any pressure or pinching.


PILtec Plug-In:
A lightweight, ultrabreathable textile band across the leg opening. The microdot silicone treatment is invisible from the outside but stabilizes fit and maintains grip while wet.


Integrated Storage:
Two triple-ramp thigh pockets securely stow ride essentials with easy access while the gravel or the trail demands full attention.

TACTICA T5 Insert

Shock-Absorb Damping Mono:
A single, breathable layer of 11mm of off-road comfort, engineered to absorb the micro-shocks and vibration of gravel and singletrack.


goldenGate 2.0:
The insert is attached at front and rear with floating sides and center, letting it move with your body rather than against it. New cut-outs on the sides reduce volume and friction throughout the pedal stroke.


3D Waffle:
patented, three-layer, perforated foam that increases breathability and eliminates excess weight.
