Get Prepared for the April Marathons
Posted by Matthew Prudhoe on 3rd Apr 2019
This April, two major UK marathon events are going down. It is very important that, if you're going to tackle one or both of these, you are well prepared physically and have the correct equipment.
Greater Manchester Marathon - 7th April
In Manchester this weekend, there will be a marathon event starting on the 7th April, and you should remember to bring all the essentials. Of course, you will need good quality running trainers that can properly support your ankles. Failing to do this will likely result in injury; the last thing you'd want mid-way through your event.
Make sure you have plenty of energy supplements too as you'll need these along the way. If this is your first event, try your best to run shorter distances and build yourself up before the big day.
Virgin Money London Marathon - 28th April
For those ready for the big city, the London Marathon takes place on the 28th April from the heart of the city itself. As I said for the Manchester one, you must make sure you have everything you need. If you have any problems with your gear, please don't hesitate to ring us at 020 7183 4116 for friendly advice; we've been there before so we'll be able to help you prepare for it.
We have no doubt you will enjoy this marathon, you will be passing by some of the most beautiful landmarks in London while raising money to help defeat Diabetes.
