Why The Arm?

Optical heart rate sensors work by using light to measure blood flow in capillaries beneath the skin. Whilst the top of the wrist is convenient for a watch, it can be a challenging location for accuracy even for the most advanced sensors. Wearing it on the arm means that the sensor is in the optimal space to track blood flow and gather heart rate data with accuracy, equivalent to that of a traditional chest strap.
