If only every event started in the middle of the day, the sun high, everyone warm and the light as good as it can be, there'd be little need for sun protection in your goggles.

Sadly the length of events and road closure timings mean a 7am start can be par for the course - and of course the light 30 minutes after the gun goes off is very different. Not just that, but it will change as the morning wears on.

HUUB's 'Aphotic' are the company's first swim goggles that get darker or lighter during the race without you even noticing, thanks to Photochromatic technology. It's a self-regulating lens that delivers the comfort and vision needed to maximise your sighting and assist your swim.

This Photochromatic clarity of vision aids sighting and allows you to move around obstacles and other swimmers even when you're swimming into the sun, or with your back to the sun.

These incredible lenses adjust perfectly and take only 160 seconds to go from clear to dark, delivering ultimate performance for every turn of every buoy.

The lenses work thanks to a treatment with special patented photochromatic dyes which activate the lens and make it lighten or darken with the changing ultraviolet rays from sunlight. As light conditions change, the level of tint adjusts, offering the right tint at the right time.

The 'Aphotic' swim goggles are the first step from HUUB in its quest for goggle perfection. They are suitable for use indoors and outdoors and in any light conditions.

Designed to fit the face perfectly with a density of silicon and TPR matched to create a perfect fit and a feather like feel even on the most interesting of facial profiles.

For a great swim you need a comfortable fit and the ability to see as much as possible while having as much light as possible blocked out when the sun is high or water reflection is optimal.
