Orca - RS1 Swim-Run Wetsuit - Women's
A SwimRun specific wetsuit with removable arms, now with improved buoyancy and flexibility.
The Product:
The RS1 Swimrun Wetsuit for is more buoyant and flexible than ever.
The suit is formed from both stretchy nylon and durable neoprene, with just 1.5mm thick neoprene shoulders and 2mm arm and crotch panels. This keeps you protected and insulated; whilst ensuring freedom of movement.
The buoyancy from the neoprene also helps to promote good posture in the water and supports your core. The suit’s rear has been treated with anti-abrasion technology so that any small scratches or falls will not inhibit the level of protection and support the suit gives.
Once you are out of the water, you can quickly remove the sleeves of the suit to help you to cool down. A front zip offers you versatility on the run for more freedom of movement and greater ventilation.
Key Features:
-
REMOVABLE ARMS – being able to remove the arms from this suit sets it apart from the rest. When swimming, the arms can be attached for extra buoyancy and warmth, and when running they can be detached for ventilation to help you stay cool.
-
TWO POCKETS – an inner back pocket allows you to store race essentials such as your GPS. Another new storage pocket in the lower back can be used for other items such as nutrition.
-
FLEXIBILITY – 1.5mm thick shoulders and 2mm arm and crotch panels make this suit incredibly flexible in order to maximise your freedom of movement in the water as well as offering uninhibited movement during the run.
-
BUOYANCY - the RS1 has 9mm front leg panels, and 3mm front and back panels to improve your posture when swimming and to keep you warm.
- DURABLE – the lower rear panel of the suit has been treated with DuraSkin technology to protect the suit from scratches if you happen to slip and fall.

Orca - Women's RS1 SwimRun Wetsuit
I have been swimming in open water in a full Orca wetsuit so went for the same brand for a shortie. I had to go up a size compared to the size my measurements said. Pros are the detachable arms and the buoyancy in the legs, it also looks good. Zipped pocket in the back tends to open itself.
