Orca - Vitalis Openwater Thermal Wetsuit - Women's

orca-white-logo-thin-mytriathlon.jpg

The Vitalis Thermal is a thermally comforted wetsuit for open water swimmers. It combines specific technologies for heat retention such as Thermal X technology and sealing technologies such as a second layer of “batwing” neoprene, which prevents water from entering the zipper and neck area. The high-thickness panels give the swimmer excellent buoyancy which helps them conserve energy during cold weather sessions.

Enjoy the convenience of the Fabric Gloves, included with the purchase of the Vitalis Thermal, which allow you to put on your neoprene without damaging the material.

Thermal Comfort

The excellent thermal properties of this wetsuit were achieved with its construction of up to 5 mm-thick panels together with the Thermal X inner lining. In addition, its "Batwing" hood prevents the entry of cold water through the neck and zipper areas, for increased conservation of body heat.

Elasticity

39+ and 39FS technologies are incorporated in the shoulders and underarms to improve the elasticity of this wetsuit.

High and Neutral Buoyancy

The high-thickness panels located in the torso provide a high level of buoyancy, providing more safety in open water. In addition, thanks to its construction, it has a neutral buoyancy level.

Comfort

The Thermal X inner fabric is soft and comfortable, providing great comfort when swimming in cold waters.

Composition:

Neoprene : 95 %, Polyamide (Nylon) : 5 %

    Vitalis open water thermal wetsuit

Posted by Diane on 11th Aug 2024

This is an excellent quality wetsuit that definitely keeps me warmer in colder water, so it does a good job. The quality of the neoprene is excellent, as usual with Orca. My arm movement is good and unrestricted. I do have niggles with it though. I'm not a fan of the batwing design around the neck. Orca wetsuits are usually comfy around the neck, but the batwing compromises this, although because it's an Orca neck it does just about get away with it. I'd prefer it without though. It's also tricky with drying the wetsuit out because the area between the batwing and the thermal lining stays damp too long and easily becomes smelly. Another niggle, I've found the velcro to be too strong. On previous Orca wetsuits, this has not been an issue, but this time it pulls inside the wetsuit sleeve whenever it catches, despite me taking great care and keeping the velcro together in storage, but obviously I've got to undo the velcro to put the wetsuit on, and then it becomes an issue. I'd say it's caused too much damage.
