MyTriathlon Launches the 2014 Newton Shoe Range
Posted by Tom Connelly on 3rd Feb 2014
We were born to run. Literally. The human body is one of the most efficient running machines nature has ever produced, in large part as the result of years of evolution.
One way Newton takes us back to this efficiency is by taking away the breaking effect that is caused by a large heel. When there is a difference in height between the sole and the heel you are more likely to land heel first, this causing a breaking effect that means every step you have to use more effort and energy to keep up your pace.
The brand new Newton Gravity 3 and Motion 3 Mileage Trainers and Distance 3 and Distance S 3 Speed Trainers have the addition of a fifth lug, helping the sole of the shoes to better align with the foot’s five metatarsal bones, thereby delivering more cushioning, greater responsiveness and a broader and more stable base underfoot.
There are both neutral and stability shoes.
