A midweight sock for cooler conditions encountered early and late in the year

ASSOS brought to bear its expertise in materials technology when the call came to develop a mid-weight sock suited to the times of years when the sun stays low in the sky.

These colder, and usually darker, conditions call for high levels of comfort and support, together with touches which can help you be seen by others on the road.

So it concocted ultra-soft polyester yarns blended with Lycra, to deliver a light, compressive hold and a touch of insulation along the foot, ankle, and lower leg using their seamless construction.

The unique hexagonal and square shape of the knit allows moisture to pass through the yarns to the outer surface, ensuring your feet stay dry and comfortable inside your shoes.

Next, the developers targeted the arch, wrapping it with a ribbed band for further support and boosted breathability, along with a contrasting reflective band along the Achilles for added visibility in low-light conditions. The spring/autumn climaCode is now a prominent visual cue for layering and also helps you organise your training/race wardrobe.

These white socks are the right hue for athletic use, but if you prefer something a little more distinctive, or which can hide the marks of hours spent o=pounding the roads, we also offer them in black, here.

GARMENT FEATURES

STL: Short for Spot The Light, these light-absorbing polyester yarns have been developed with photoluminescent pigment in order to remain luminous in the absence of light.

Ribbed Arch: 360-degree ribbed band along the arch keeps the foot comfortably supported within the shoe.

Seamless Construction: With no exposed seams, this 160-needle construction provides a seamless wrap on the foot for the ultimate in friction-free comfort.

Composition: 60% Polyamide; 20% Polyester; 16% Poly-Cotton; 4% Elastane
